We can argue about BMTH's genre all day but they were born in metal and they still have an impact on the genre. This song is rooted heavily in pop-punk with dashes of hyperpop yet it still has a breakdown! I'm a huge proponent of all the genre mixing that's been going on recently. Artists like Bilmuri, Kim Dracula and BMTH help push the envelope on what can be metal and rock. Additionally, dabbling in new sounds can grab fans of different genres and lead them down a rabbit hole that eventually creates a new metal fan. This is an insanely fun, catchy track.
