Dropout Kings - Riot Music

The aggression behind hard-hitting rap and metal have always fit so well together and this album proves that once again. Trap hi-hats, distorted guitars, 808s, heavy drumming, there's just something so fresh about an auto-tuned vocal line on top of low-tuned metal bass grooves. I already know these live shows are going crazy with a soundtrack like this. On top of all the heavy greatness this record isn't afraid to lean into some more emotional tracks. We're not even half way through 2023 and this is a strong candidate for my album of the year.
